...and it is who and what we leave behind, as opposed to how we represent ourselves, that serves as a lasting testament to the true identity that rests in our hearts and souls. No matter our caste and physical lot in life, it is the integrity of the spiritual and emotional condition that influences how we spend our time in this world. Therefore we are not defined by goals and accomplishsments, but instead by our choices within the real environment in which we live with so much beyond our comprehension and grasp.

We do not live in a vacuum and are collectively and individually judged by our actions, regardless if we accept responsibility or are even cognizant of their impact. Human history is littered with disastrous choices spawned by lack of conscientiousness but also filled with uplifting tales of graciousness and goodwill. Our personal stories are as inspirational and interwoven as they are devastating and dividing and it is the variety, longevity, and depths of our close relationships, as well as our treatment of total strangers, that reflect the way we choose to live. Behind every WHAT? AND HOW? is the inevitable question, WHY? What we create and leave behind, no matter its time of discovery, becomes a puzzle of artifacts for historians and archaelogists alike to piece together. In the answer, it is not only revealed how our frame of being steers perception and each corresponding action, but often how preciously little time is spent to truly understand the life that surrounds us. For what we do speaks louder to what lies in within us than any word we might muster.

A New Jersey native, I have kept residence in the southern United States for the last sixteen years and currently practice as an architectural designer in Raleigh, North Carolina. My personal background directly influenced my forays into architecture, photography, design, and writing. I feel fortunate and blessed to have the opportunity to creatively regard our various environments - daily observing, reflecting, and impacting the world in which we live.

It took three decades to condition myself not to shy away from the results of personal creativity, for they are transient, yet permanently documented mental markers within an environment at a precise moment and time. With each day I eagerly look forward to each new discovery within and without of myself.
